Glenn Hello from the Spatial Media LBSzone... To start, an interesting first-look at a clever application that brings together facebook and Twitter social networks via a slick map UI. Still in Beta, IRL offers some tremendous potential and I would have to expect that a mobile client would be coming soon as well (I hope) - perhaps there's an opportunity here! Also in the spotlight, our LBSzone featured app of the week, mapNinja. Sporting a very cool name, this app enables developers to create a simple iPhone application with minimal effort. Imagine, add beautiful, panning, zooming, touch-enabled maps into their native iPhone apps with just 3 lines of code. A community tip here from the developer of Spotjots and former NAVTEQ LBS Challenge winner... Chris shares details of an interesting document now available - check out Building PhotoKast: Creating an iPhone app in one month. For developers, if your interested in a US-based Symbian Bootcamp we have information about some training sessions that you may find useful - perhaps your next LBS app will be made available for use on the very powerful N97 or Nokia 5800 smartphones. Finally, if you haven't already noticed, we've added a visible section on our homepage to Specialty LBS zones. This will enable users to easily jump to useful information segmented by popular mobile platforms; S60, iPhone, Blackberry, and Android - we hope you find this useful.

A heads-up for those of you exhibiting at CTIA Wireless next month in Vegas... contact us if you're interested in a promotional advertising special from LBSzone! Remember, you can connect with LBSzone on Twitter @lbszone or, joing the LBSzone LinkedIn Group, or you can also join our new LBS facebook fan page!
