Webinar: Personalize the Connected Car line
Hello Mobile Enthusiast... and welcome to another mobile, location-tech news roundup. So, how rich are developers getting these days? you'd think that with mobile technology and apps like Floppy Bird, Instagram, WhatsApp and others getting so much recognition that the application developer is rolling in cash. Well, that's hardly the norm and actually, most developers are living on Mac and Cheese and getting by on scraps and relatively little revenue from their efforts. Vision Mobile has an interesting new Developer Economics Q1 2014 report based on a survey of 7,000 app developers in 127 countries. According to the results it seems that Windows Phone developers are the hardest hit, followed by Blackberry devs (no huge surprise there!). Obviously having a decent, goto Marketplace is killer for any developer and a key component if the developer is to have any chance of making some serious cash - unless facebook decides to throw billions of $$ your way! But even with iOS the rainbow doesn't really end with a pot of gold as the survey shows that about 90% of the iOS developers are netting less than $50K per year for their efforts. Have you ever thought about setting up your very own cloud? Well, according to HP you can do so and you can do it just one day! This from the HP white paper "Build a Cloud within a Day", Learn why creating the right cloud delivery strategy is critical to reducing your organization's risks and building its future. Moving forward, NOAA is calling on the public for some help and has issued an RFI to help them address their Big Data issues. Have a great week all and be sure to connect with us on Tiwtter @LBSzone - on, and if you didn't make it to MWC but are interested in what took place, be sure to listen to this edition of The VoiceMail
