Does HTML5 Make Sense for Mobile Enterprise Applications? line
Hello Mobile Enthusiast... and welcome back to the office to those of you just returning from the holidays. Kudos to all of you weathering the terribly cold and nasty weather. FYI, it was more than 45 years ago that one of the most amazing photos ever recorded by NASA almost never happened! Check out this awesome video put together by NASA describing just how the famous "Earthrise" photo was captured - talk about team work! Moving forward, recall that I've mentioned on several occasions that I'm working with an awesome 27" HP All-in-one workstation, well, just yesterday at CES HP announced the next addition to the Z family, enter the Z1 G2 with touch! Speaking of cool, perhaps you think the digital camera is dead (thanks to the cell phone), however, Samsung has just announced their Android powered Galaxy Camera 2 which features an 1.6GHz Quad Core processor and the Android platform - very nice (PS: my daughter has the 1 and it's a sweet little device). Finally, our friends in Montana at GCS have announced today that GCS is to Develop Big Data Business around IBM Watson - they've hired Rob Kinnear as Director of Strategic Partnerships (See More). Have a great day all and don't forget to check out my most recent edition of 5 Things and for more tips and news from CES visit LBSzone.com

Juniper Systems' Allegro MXT Selected for Invasive Fish Removal Program - Juniper Systems' Allegro MXT was recently selected by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources (DWR) for an invasive fish removal program. One particular DWR field crew used the rugged handheld, loaded with custom fisheries software, to monitor native fish species and remove invasive fish along the Green River, near scenic Dinosaur National Monument in 2013. The data collected by the field crew will enter a large repository which is used by biologists to assist with management and policy decisions, fish regulations, and fisheries research.
