Hello from the Spatial Media LBSzone...
Hopefully you had a nice Easter week-end, many of you electing to make a long week-end of it... now back to the grind! To start, a short article providing some useful tips for anyone planning an event, webcast, or other time sensitive item of interest - social media tools and tips for the event planner - I'm sure there's a couple of useful things there for any event. On the LBS Challenge front, I've rolled out another installment from the recently held CTIA Wireless event. Article #2 provides a recap of the NAVTEQ LBS Challenge and looks at the state of LBS, the winning apps, and my favorites... enjoy!
Speaking of cool, mobile apps... be sure to check out the video provided here showing off a fun, new app from Nokia - Nokia Photo Browser is an experimental photo browser that makes your viewing experience quick and fun: Pleasing visual effects, Intuitive touch UI, Magnifying glass, Face browsing.
Finally, in the news this week a number of interesting items including: Samsung Mobile Announces Availability of Samsung Propel Pro, Sliding Windows Mobile 6.1 Smartphone (think QWERTY, GPS, and more); An interesting new app as GVdialer Application for Google Voice has been released - GVdialer is the First Mobile Application for Google Voice Supporting iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Windows Mobile and Nokia Symbian Mobile Phones; Telmap Navigator winner of Life on BlackBerry award is now available on the new BlackBerry App World - helps hundreds of thousands of BlackBerry users worldwide, most of whom regularly use Telmap for in-car and pedestrian navigation search and share.
