Hello Mobile Enthusiast... and welcome to another mobile, location-tech news roundup. Lets start with some research findings... No huge surprise here I guess as research has shown that men and women differ in their use of mobile social media. Apparently, the gender difference revolves around three distinct areas: our personal and professional relationships, the need for information and entertainment, and consumer behavior - see more on the research findings HERE. And something for you parents... A valuable resource for parents was released today and it's pretty darned useful! The social media guide for parents has been developed by the Liahona Academy (be sure to check out their website and the other valuable resources they provide) and is delivered as a free web-based resource and a comprehensive infographic - jam-packed with useful tips! The guide also describes all the public social sites that are popular with teens and explains what they are and how they are used and they also suggest several social media monitoring tools - details of the effort are HERE. Finally, are consumers losing trust in brands over location data issues? A recent survey found that consumers are all too often given outdated and incorrect information from search engines, mobile apps, directories and even brand websites - interesting! Have a great week all and remember to follow us @LBSzone on Twitter!
