The First Wearable Location Based Mobile Social Network

It was just a matter of time until mobile social networking became both wearable and location based.
January 29, 2010 -- Picture a future where thousands of people passing by each other become part of a Mobile Human Network, which somehow "feels" and "senses" the compatibility of each person as they pass by one another. This "Dynamic Mobile Human Network" then begins to identify people who share interests or desires, who may be mentally or physically attracted to each other, and are physically located within a few feet - up to a few hundred feet away from each other. Just science fiction?
As we know, the things of science fiction often become reality. Imagine the opportunities this mobile human network offers people who are right now at a nightclub, on the street, enjoying a festival or time with friends, in the subway, an office or trade show - all receiving a notification on their mobile phone, that someone compatible with them, is nearby and could actually become their best friend, soul mate, or the perfect business partner.
Wearable Mobile Social Networking
Meet MagnetU - The world's first "Wearable Mobile Social Network (TM)" giving people the power to match and make new connections outside of their home environment, with other people nearby whom they like, no matter if they are moving around outside or indoors.
MagnetU is not another "App" in a flood of flawed mobile phone applications claiming they can accomplish this same feat. The makers of MagnetU claim to offer an innovation to the "Location Based Mobile Social Networking" concept, because mobile phone software and GPS based applications are not capable of delivering a commercially viable product offering such as theirs.
"Dynamic Human Mobile Network" is the game changer
MagnetU has just changed the mobile social network game with its patent pending "Dynamic Human Mobile Network (TM)". To understand this type of human mobile network, imagine taking the concept of a P2P (peer-to-peer) file sharing network out into the real world, where real people are moving around as the "nodes" of an ever changing viral dynamic network.
This P2P dynamic human network is being used to share relevant information amongst the users of the very same network they themselves are integrated into. This info they share, allows matching users to interact directly with each other face to face, in real time, wherever they are, right now.
"Wearing" a MagnetU helps people make new friends, find a date or love, or even locate a targeted business associate at a trade show. If users happen to be "wearing their Love Profile", once MagnetU finds a perfect match (two or more persons of the opposite sex, mutually complimenting the interests of each other) both users will get either a "Hot" or "Attractive" text message sent directly from the other party's mobile phone.
This SMS message contains key contact information, and some juicy details about the other person. From this point on, it's now up to both parties about what to do next. It's very a simple, entertaining, and exciting prospect...and it's ready to hit the market today.
Users simply define their MagnetU profile on www.MagnetU.com - their preferred age range, relationship status, social network ID's, and a personal user-created message that is also delivered to their matches. A user may decide to specify they are looking for a new friend, or perhaps a date, even while they are (right now) inside a night club or coffee shop. Alternatively users may decide to seek potential business partners while physically walking inside a trade show or office building.
When thought of as a "Mobile LinkedIn" people quickly understand the power of such an application for business persons. The day-to-day personal and business uses of MagnetU are limited only to the user's imagination.
Poke someone on Facebook while standing in the same bar
MagnetU even gives people the power to match and make new connections with users of AIM, QQ, Facebook, Friendster, MSN, Google, ICQ, Friend Finder and other leading online social networks while they are moving around in their "MagnetU Mobile World (TM)". It is now possible for matched MagnetU users to poke a new Facebook user while both people are standing in the same bar, or even follow Twitter users who are now at the same event or location.
As long as both MagnetU users have matching profile interests, it is even possible to make new business or investor connections with Linkedin users who may be walking down Wall Street, or in the same airport. Think of all the possibilities MagnetU provides for business, friendship and love - and you may agree this may be the new face of location based mobile social networking.
What makes MagnetU so special?
MagnetU supports all worldwide cellular operators and most Bluetooth enabled mobile phones. When a new connection between two people is made, each party receives an SMS text message to their mobile phone. The SMS is sent point-to-point through the cellular operator's network.
This happens without any required development agreements or cooperation with any mobile operators, no installation of software on the mobile phone, and no host server in the operator's network. No GPS or Location Based Services (LBS) are required either, and most importantly it is very accurate even indoors where GPS signals totally fail.
What the user finds most important, is they simply turn it on when they are on the go, and the MagnetU just works silently in the background. No user interaction is required, until of course they receive a message on their mobile phone. Then it's up to the users to figure out what to do next. Simply put the MagnetU works for the user, not the other way around.
Privacy 101
According to Michael Borer, Director of Strategic Initiatives for MagnetU: "Unlike GPS or LBS services, MagnetU's approach eliminates all location privacy issues - in other words - no company tracks or ever knows the user's exact location. This provides users with a safe feeling, knowing their location is revealed to someone else only when and if they specifically allow it to be."
"It's really a miracle of technology, how MagnetU can be so effective without browsing a website, telling a server of the user's new location, or allowing a company to constantly monitor the user's physical location. We don't need to do any of these things.", explains Mr. Borer.
The limitations of GPS in Mobile Social Networking
GPS may be a great technology for purely "on-demand" and "outdoor" applications, such as looking for restaurants nearby the user - a non-social application which a user will not use constantly. However it is clear that GPS has major limitations for always-on applications such as mobile social networking.
"The vast majority of socializing happens outside of the home environment - in a party, a club or bar, when you are in school, mall or even business environments like trade fairs. People go to all these places to enjoy themselves, meet new people, find love or develop business relationships and most of these places are indoor. GPS simply doesn't work indoors (no satellite signal), however most people tend to congregate indoors. Close physical proximity between people who discover they match the desires of each other - that's what makes MagnetU really exciting." says Yaron Moradi, MagnetU's Founder and CEO.
"As a business model, just doesn't make sense to ask users to log in into a website and inform of their location wherever they go, not to mention forcing them to update the server once they leave one place and move to another. Will they do all these things when they just went out to enjoy a party, or shop in a mall? It should be fun to use location based mobile social networking. People don't want to "work" for the service provider, but rather they just want to let the service work for them.and where the service works is of the utmost importance. Not only it should work outdoor, but more importantly it must work indoor.", explains Moradi.
Applications such as MagnetU which are associated with our private social life, need to work on a constant basis, overcome privacy barriers, support more than 70% of mobile phones worldwide, must not require costly mobile Internet data connections, be cellular operator independent, allow use in all cities and countries from day one, and not drain the mobile phone battery (radio technologies like GPS are known as battery killers). When this can all come together in a neat package such as a "Wearable Mobile Social Network", it makes the experience more easy and enjoyable for the user.
MagnetU gives people the power to find other people they like, whenever and wherever they want, without worrying of location privacy issues, high cost data plans, or mobile phone battery life. MagnetU begs the question - what would be more attractive to a mobile social network user than a product offering such as this?
MagnetU Mobile has announced the world's first "Wearable Mobile Social NetworkT" (patent pending). People now have the power to make new connections with other people who share the same interests or desires, whom are also right now physically close to each other, literally from inches to hundreds of feet away, while outdoor or indoor. The company's patent pending "Dynamic Human Mobile Network T" creates a novel viral network suited specifically to today's mobile lifestyle.
MagnetU supports most modern GSM Bluetooth phones and does not require any software installation on the mobile phone. MagnetU eliminates privacy issues associated with location based mobile social networking, does not consume mobile phone battery, works indoor (unlike GPS-based applications) and allows socializing between people who are inches up to hundreds of feet from each other. MagnetU is now available for mass worldwide distribution.
MagnetU brings people together for friendship, love, fun and business. right now, wherever they are, that otherwise they would never have met! MagnetU is currently launching commercially in Taiwan in March 2010, with near future launches currently being discussed with distributors and mobile phone operators in the countries of Hong Kong, China, Spain, and Brazil. MagnetU is small and can be connected to your key chain, held in your pocket, purse, bag or otherwise with its compact 5cmx3cmx1cm product size.
MagnetU is cellular operator independent and will be offered to the market through mobile operators, business networking companies, distributors as well as partnering with leading online social networks and dating sites.
