In 2013, it is estimated that the global connected car market will be
worth $21.82bn in 2013, as connectivity reaches beyond the luxury
vehicles, penetrating all vehicle segments. Telematics Update Director,
Gareth Ragg stated, “Despite exciting growth in the connected vehicle
market, the question of how consumers and automakers are set to pay for
on-demand connectivity remains unsolved.”
He continued, “With Auto-OEM and network operators approaching the
