Latest Version of Sportsim(TM) takes GPS Athletes to the next level.
Asker - Norway, June 10th, 2005. Sportsim, an innovator in transforming GPS technology into usable performance information, is now launching the latest version of its GPS software. The new software enables users to make and organize GPS based races.
Now anyone with a GPS receiver can make a GPS race anywhere on the globe when a course is tracked with a GPS receiver. GPS receivers log geographical positions and performance values that enable Sportsim users to share results and make comparisons. A Sportsim user can freely setup a race and decide course locations and times. The capabilities afforded by Sportsims software are expected to be invaluable to training clubs wanting to set up their own competition and training courses.
Sportsims vision is to provide a global space in which performance data and insight can be freely and easily shared. Sportsim is a computer software for PCs with web enabled community services. The software will catalogue all GPS activities connected to a personal mix of maps and digital photos. With a replay functionality users can load two or more tracks on screen at once, press play and watch their progress dots race each other. Values relating to distances, elevation, time, speed, and heart rate are given for every activity or in the cumulative statistics.
