PORTMAN TO UNVEIL NEW GPS TRACKING PRODUCTS DURING UK ROADSHOW
Written by Portman Security Systems Ltd
Tuesday, 18 April 2006
Portman Security Systems Ltd, a leading provider of GPS tracking devices, today announced that it will be hosting a UK road show to coincide with the Commercial Vehicle and Telematics show in Birmingham, UK.
The road show marks Portmans foray into the UK market following the success of its GPS products in major worldwide markets outside Europe. During the road show, from 24th April to 4th May, Portman will be showcasing a range of GPS tracking products for the UK market as well as seeking out potential partnership opportunities. Portman will also be promoting its GPS R&D services and manufacturing capabilities.
As most GPS devices today essentially offer the same basic functions, service providers are finding it increasingly difficult to differentiate themselves and their service offerings. As a result, many forward-thinking service providers are now turning to auto-security manufacturers like Portman to custom-build unique functionality into the GPS device itself, and in turn, expand their service offerings based on those functions, and gain a competitive edge in the process said Richard Frykman, Business Development Director for Portman.
Portmans latest product releases include a unique, state-of-the-art solar-assisted trailer tracking unit, and a GPS tracking and security device for plant and construction equipment.
