Mobile Technology Event
Nokia World - 2-3 December 2008, Centre Convencions Internacional, Barcelona - Nokia World brings this experience to life with thought-provoking seminars, top-level keynote speakers, interactive experiences, and a legendary party!
With Where 2.0 just around the corner attendees and "wanna-be" attendees might be interested in stepping back a year to contrast this years' event.
Last year around this time a panel discussion took place at Web 2.0 and the topic of discussion was the Killer App. Industry leaders from Google, Keyhole, Telcontar, Microsoft, and Mapquest took part in the lively devate.
Some details:
What's the killer app of the web? It might just be geolocation, a service that opens up tons of new business and service opportunities. Plus, the visual rock. See the cutting edge in mapping from the entrepreneurs leading the way. Kim Fennell, Telcontar CEO, was featured on the panel, "Geolocation: The Killer Map" at the O'Reilly Web 2.0 conference, along with representatives from Microsoft, MapQuest and Keyhole.
Obviously this session was of interest as it has spawned a new event, The O'Reilly Where 2.0 Conference. The show takes place in San Francisco June 29-30, 2005 and is sponsored by Microsoft, Google, Telcontar, and Yahoo!
