Navigation Leader Unveils Next Generation of Affordable Navigation
RALEIGH, N.C., April 3 -- Navman, a leading designer and manufacturer of world-class Global Positioning System (GPS), communication and marine products, announced today its latest low-cost navigation device, the Navman iCN 330. Like its predecessor, the iCN 320, the new Navman is a pocket-sized navigation system designed to offer truly usable guidance technology to the masses. More powerful that ever, the iCN 330 features the latest SiRFXTrac enhancement for improved satellite signal reception. Loaded with valuable features like 3D maps, an innovative progress bar and distance indicator, and a "free drive" map view option that provides access to moving maps without active routing enabled, the iCN 330 is the most affordable all-in-one solution on the market. The exterior of the iCN 330 can also be customized to match personal style or vehicle interior with a selection of clip-on faceplates. Stylish fasciae include options such as wood grain, carbon fiber and gunmetal gray. Like all Navman devices, the iCN 330 is easy to operate and ready to use right out of the box.
Equipped with a high-resolution, daylight-viewable display, rechargeable internal battery, and preloaded with detailed street mapping data for the U.S. (American version) and Canada (Canadian version), the iCN 330 provides drivers with the vital information they require to navigate. A high-quality speaker delivers clear turn-by-turn voice instructions for reliable route guidance; a striking 3D map display with elevation relief truly enhances the visual navigation experience; an alternate display featuring large next-maneuver arrows alerts the driver to the approach and direction of upcoming turns; a real-time progress bar and distance-to-turn information ensure users take action at the appropriate time; and detailed junction maps help drivers make visible associations with their actual surroundings. User-selectable data such as ETA, speed, current time, time-to-go and total distance can be accessed with the touch of a button.
"With affordable easy-to-use navigation comes the need to cater to a wider range of customers than ever before, each with unique personalities and navigation requirements," said Chris Jensen, vice president and general manager of Navman USA. "The iCN 330's new features make the device more versatile and easier to use than competitive systems, ensuring users get the experience they expect from a Navman. Plus anyone looking to personalize can select a faceplate that best suits their individual style. Taken together, the Navman iCN 330 is the most powerful, customizable, dependable, and easy-to-use solution available."
Powered by the latest version of Navman's user-friendly navigation software, SmartST(TM), other advanced features of the iCN 330 include enhanced routing algorithms that ensure users travel the most intuitive course; improved speed and accuracy for town, zip code, street, intersection and house number searches; and an extensive Points-of-Interest (POI) database with nearest POI search capability. In the event of traffic jams, accidents or missed turns, Navman's powerful "Back-on-Track" feature quickly redirects users to their destination using the nearest viable route.
The Navman iCN 330 features an ultra-bright display screen, employs a reliable, integrated flip-up, high-performance GPS antenna, and houses an internal Lithium-Ion battery for operating the unit without external power. The iCN 330 comes with a vehicle mounting bracket and 12V car power supply.
