Dell Precision(TM) M90 and Dell Precision M65 Deliver Exceptional Performance with Notebook Mobility
Dell (NASDAQ:DELL) today unveiled next-generation mobile workstations -- the Dell Precision M90 and Dell Precision M65 -- that further its leadership in mobile workstation-class performance, true notebook-like mobility and assured reliability.
The Dell Precision M90 and Dell Precision M65 deliver new levels of performance and features in a mobile platform along with the application certifications and assured reliability that professional workstation users demand. The Dell Precision M90 and Dell Precision M65 can enable engineers, artists, developers and other professionals to take their business critical certified applications everywhere without compromise.
With up to 512MB high-performance NVIDIA Quadro(R) FX OpenGL graphics, Intel(R) Core(TM) Duo processors, up to 17 inch wide-aspect displays and certification on some of the workstation industry's most compute-intensive applications, the Dell Precision M90 and Dell Precision M65 deliver the latest workstation design and performance. Mobile options like Wi-Fi and mobile broadband give workstation users the freedom to deliver exceptional engineering design, analysis and content creation anytime, anywhere.
"This generation of mobile workstations reaffirms Dell's leadership in workstation design, reliability and performance and represents the combined efforts of Dell and its customers to develop best-in-class products," said Darrel Ward, director, Dell Precision Workstations. "From the Dell Precision M90 with its 17-inch display and unprecedented graphics capabilities, to the mobility of the Dell Precision M65, Dell has enabled workstation users to be more productive than ever without sacrificing performance."
Dell Precision M90 - The Most Powerful Dell Mobile Workstation Ever
The Dell Precision M90 is designed to deliver the highest workstation performance available in a mobile platform, giving many customers the freedom to replace their desktop workstations without sacrificing performance. The Dell Precision M90 features an expansive 17-inch wide-aspect display and the latest Intel Core Duo processors. Dual processor cores enable efficient parallel processing when running multi-threaded applications and efficient operation of multiple applications concurrently.
Graphic artists, animators and high-end CAD users can confidently power up the most demanding applications, virtually anytime, anywhere and remain productive through features such as:
-- NVIDIA Quadro FX OpenGL graphics with up to 512MB dedicated graphics memory
-- 2MB L2 cache and a fast 667MHz front side bus
-- Up to 4GB(a) of high speed DDR2 memory
-- 667MHz memory interface to speed the transfer of data
-- Bright displays up to WUXGA (1920 X 1200) resolution
-- On-board IEEE 1394, three-button touch pad, and DVI and SVGA video outputs
-- TPM 1.2 support
Dell Precision M65 - True Mobility for Mobile Workstations
As light as approximately 6.2 pounds(a) in a starting configuration, the Dell Precision M65 delivers the perfect balance of workstation performance and mobility. The latest Intel dual-core processors, a 15.4-inch wide-aspect display, optional embedded mobile broadband capability and biometric finger print reader for excellent security gives customers a certified, powerful and secure mobile workstation that is designed to travel.
The Dell Precision M65 delivers performance on the go for workstation users to power through complex applications, such as digital content creation and financial analysis. Features include:
-- 2MB L2 cache and a fast 667MHz front side bus
-- Up to 4GB(a) of high-speed DDR2 memory
-- 667MHz memory interface to speed the transfer of data
-- Up to 512MB shared graphics memory with NVIDIA(R) Quadro(R) FX 350M TurboCache(a)
-- TPM 1.2 support
-- Optional dual batteries for extended battery life
Since durability and reliability are key concerns for workstation users, both new models feature a solid magnesium alloy exoskeleton, and the display bezel design helps minimize screen marking. Sealed spill resistant keyboards, full-time hard drive protection with StrikeZone, and steel reinforced security slots are included standard on all models. Adhering to Dell's Design for the Environment program, both systems meet the requirements of the European Union's Restriction of Hazardous Substances directive.
Pricing and Availability
The Dell Precision M90 and Dell Precision M65, certified on some of the workstation industry's most demanding CAD, CAE, DCC, GIS and other applications are available today worldwide. Prices for the Dell Precision M90 start at $2,239. The Dell precision M65 is priced from $1,849. For more information, please go to www.dell.com/precision.
