GeoWeb 2006 will be held July 24-28, 2006, at the Morris J. Wosk Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia. The conference is the only event focused exclusively on the convergence of XML, Web services, and geographic information systems.
Google has agreed to be a gold sponsor, and Laser-Scan, Oracle, and Safe Software are silver sponsors. LizardTech is a coffee break and bag insert sponsor. Google will present two half-day workshops during the first two days of the conferenceGoogle Maps Mashups on Monday, July 24, and Google Earth and KML on Tuesday, July 25. Michael Jones, CTO, Google Earth, will also provide his insight as a conference keynoter. Oracle will present Introduction to JDeveloper and Oracle AS MapViewer on Tuesday, July 25. Microsoft will put on two half-day workshops on Tuesday, July 25Introduction to MapPoint in the morning and Introduction to Virtual Earth in the afternoon. Stephen Lawler, general manager of the Virtual Earth Business Unit at Microsoft Corp., will also keynote at the conference.
