Ripple Mobiles OnTime mobile calendar app gains following, adds new features to version 1.2
Ripple Mobile, creators of the OnTime mobile calendar application, announced
the release of OnTime version 1.2 that is compatible with BlackBerry for the
first time, and includes six new features to the popular mobile calendar
app that enhances the OnTime user experience.
Weve had outstanding user feedback, said Kevin Miller, president and
co-founder of Dublin, Ohio-based Ripple Mobile LLC. Input we received from our
customers on features and functionality provided us opportunities to make
significant upgrades to the application for our existing customers, while also
making the OnTime application available to BlackBerry users for the first
time.
OnTime, which launched in December 2010, for use on iPhone, is the mobile
phone app designed to help people manage their calendar and busy, hectic lives.
Since its launch less than two months ago, the OnTime application has experienced more than 800 downloads in a single 24-hour period, made the top
25 list of most downloaded paid productivity apps in the Apple iTunes store (no.
21), and is being used by people in 14 countries.
OnTimes growing popularity is rooted in its compatibility with all existing
computer-based calendars and its ability to enhance how users already organize
their life and task lists. The mobile application uniquely known for its
phone-based GPS capabilities, adjustable turn-by-turn directions and real-time
traffic analysis and other connectivity functions, now has even more enhanced
features.
Version 1.2 enhances the OnTime user experience with the following
upgrades:
Calendar filtering:allows users with multiple calendars to
choose which ones interface with OnTime.
· Individual event selection:improves the control
users have over events by choosing to disable events for which they dont want
alerts.
· Global drive or walk setting:gives users the
option to receive alerts and directions for driving or walking.
· Improved mapping:enhances the mapping and
direction function.
· Improved address lookup functionallows users to
find businesses and street address quicker and more accurately.
· Extended alert timemeans alerts now are sent up to
one hour before needing to leave
Early adopters of OnTime can purchase the app for $1.99 until April 1, 2011,
and for $4.99 thereafter.
