Providers trusted by Federal agencies deliver ironclad protection, from the WLAN to the field
CHANTILLY, Va.-- June 6, 2005--Blue Ridge Networks(TM), the premier provider of secure communications products and managed VPN services, today announced a joint marketing agreement with 3e Technologies International (3eTI), a market leader in secure wireless mesh infrastructure, to promote their combined networking security solutions.
The 3eTI / Blue Ridge Networks partnership provides commercial and Federal customers with secure mobile access via a proven, end-to-end, strongly authenticated, and highly encrypted wireless solution. Blue Ridge Networks delivers the ability to extend secure network access beyond the wireless footprint and into legacy, remote off-network environments, while 3eTI brings strong Layer 2 wireless security with MAC level encryption among wireless access points and client devices. When used in tandem, this OSI Layer 2 combined solution ensures secure network access in today's dynamic world of mobile computing.
"The combined capability offered by these products enables Government and enterprise organizations to confidently move ahead with their wireless initiatives," said Tom Gilbert, Chief Technology Officer of Blue Ridge Networks. "The robustness of the combined AirGuard and BorderGuard security solution is what our customers need to secure and protect their wireless infrastructure."
"Whether deployed inside or outside the firewall, the 3eTI-Blue Ridge Networks solution delivers rock-solid security - 3eTI secures the WLAN and Blue Ridge Networks secures the remote access," commented Bob Hogan, 3e Technologies International's Vice President of Government Operations. "It improves information safety with doubled levels of security and is designed for ultimate protection -- no matter where you're working, in the network, at the edge, or remotely while away from the office."
Blue Ridge Networks is both FIPS 140-2 Validated(TM) and Common Criteria certified and the company remains the only vendor who has obtained Common Criteria certification for a VPN Management Platform. 3eTI was the first to offer FIPS 140-2 Level 2 Validated wireless access points and FIPS 140-2 Level 2 crypto clients for Intel(R) Centrino(TM) mobile technology all of which are currently in Common Criteria evaluation. 3eTI combines 802.11i, FIPS 140-2, AES-CCM (FIPS 197 certificate #1), and EAP-TLS for robust wireless security and offers advanced features such as 192/256-bit AES, etc.
