IRVINE, Calif., Jan. 17-- u-Nav Microelectronics Corporation has filed a counterclaim for patent infringement against SiRF Technology, Inc., in the United States District Court for the Central District of California.
In its counterclaim, u-Nav alleges that certain SiRF products, including its SiRFstarIII product line, infringe u-Nav's U.S. Patent No. 6, 909, 739.
"Our investment in research and development has yielded fundamental intellectual property rights," says Russ Garcia, CEO and President of u-Nav. "As a highly innovative supplier of GPS solutions it is important that u-Nav protect its patented technology."
