Woburn, MA January 2006 -- geoVue, a leading enterprise location intelligence software provider, announces the release of marketVue Portal v.1.2, the latest version of its powerful Web Services-based platform for site selection, market planning, and sales forecasting applications.
Customers can access geoVues location intelligence software applications iSITE (site selection and trade area analysis) and iPREDICT (sales forecasting), through the marketVue Portal. The marketVue Portal can also be seamlessly integrated with third-party data and customers proprietary applications.
MarketVue Portal v.1.2 enables retailers, franchisors and real estate developers to create and analyze trade areas, sales potential and markets from any location, at any time. Maps, charts, graphs and reports generated from this analysis can be highly customized according to each companys specific requirements. Data can be exported into csv, Excel or XML formats for fast, easy sharing across the enterprise. As a result, workgroups and development teams can simultaneously perform their tasks from different locations, and view changes and edits in real time. This critical feature directly increases a companys bottom line, as it shortens the decision-making time necessary to bring a new store or concept to market.
Over 25 new features have been added to this latest version of the marketVue Portal, providing for greater functionality, customization options, and ease of use. Some of the highlights include:
·Customizable business rules (i.e. show all sites managed by Bob Smith)
·Geospatial relationships (i.e. show all sites between store #1 and store #2 where more than one competitor is located.)
·Enhancements to the Trade Area drawing tool, including the added ability to add, move, and delete nodes in the Trade Area
·Automated scheduling of reports
Accessing the marketVue Portal is both flexible and secure, with deployment options including ASP (hosted by geoVue), the customers intranet, or a customized combination of the two.
This new version of the marketVue Portal exemplifies our commitment toward constantly improving our softwares functionality while maintaining its simplicity and elegance, said geoVue President, Jim Stone. With the Portals new features and greater interoperability between web and desktop, our customers are certain to be pleased!
