Clark County, Ohio Selects DDTI for Location Based Response System Project PDF Print E-mail

Columbus, OH, December 7, 2005: Digital Data Technologies, Inc. (DDTI®) is pleased to announce the successful implementation of Clark County, Ohio’s Location Based Response System (LBRS) road centerline and addressing data.

The state of Ohio’s LBRS initiative, led by the Ohio Geographically Referenced Information Program (OGRIP), is improving the state’s overall road inventory including the identification of unreported roads and updating municipal road inventories that have been outside the realm of the Ohio Department of Transportation.  Once counties establish this LBRS data, they are in a position to obtain additional roadway safety funding that may currently be unavailable.

Clark County, Ohio initially began their LBRS project with DDTI to accurately map landline and wireless calls to 9-1-1, and to clean and update the engineer’s existing address database.  Due to the highly accurate centerline data that was provided, Clark County received additional benefits from the project.  Bruce Smith, Clark County Engineer, elaborates, “As a result of the DDTI LBRS data deliverable, Traffic Safety Analysis Systems and Services, Inc. (TSASS) was able to locate an additional 120 hazardous roadway segments that may qualify for additional roadway safety improvement funding. This has been a huge benefit to us, and the hazardous roadway recognition will only improve in the future. Taking the time to locate the funding and working with DDTI on creating the data was well worth our efforts.”

To learn more about the success of Clark County’s LBRS implementation, or for more information on how DDTI can assist you with an LBRS project visit DDTI’s trade show booth, number 25, at the CCAO/CEAO conference December 12-14. You may also contact DDTI toll free at 1-888-800-4003 or visit us on the web at www.DDTI.net
