Module Can Enable @Road Customers to Optimize Their Vehicle Maintenance Management Program, Which Can Result in Reduced Company Operating and Fuel Costs

FREMONT, Calif.--Dec. 7, 2005--@Road(R), Inc. (NASDAQ:ARDI), a global provider of Mobile Resource Management (MRM) solutions, today announced the general availability of the @Road Vehicle Maintenance 2.0 Field Asset Management module for both @Road GeoManager(SM) iLM(R) and @Road Pathway(SM) iLM MRM solutions. This module provides a number of tools that can help @Road customers optimize their maintenance management program by documenting maintenance history, sending automatic email reminders and notifications when maintenance is due, and providing valuable reports showing maintenance status. With an optimized maintenance management program, @Road customers can improve field asset reliability and mobile worker safety while driving down overall company operating costs through increased fuel efficiency, reduced maintenance expenses and unnecessary field asset depreciation and wear and tear as a result of inefficient and missed maintenance services.

"With this @Road Field Asset Management module, our customers can better plan for, proactively schedule and easily track key field asset maintenance activities and services that can help them reduce overall operating costs," said Leo Jolicoeur, @Road chief marketing officer. "Additionally, since high fuel prices are a major concern for many businesses today, one of the biggest benefits that this @Road Field Asset Management module can deliver for our customers is the fuel cost savings they can achieve through an improved overall maintenance management program."

According to a U.S. government web site, www.fueleconomy.gov, improved vehicle maintenance can lead to average overall fuel savings of up to 19 percent. The web site also asserts that in specific situations improved vehicle maintenance, such as replacing a clogged air filter, can improve a vehicle's gas mileage by as much as 10 percent, and fixing a more serious maintenance problem, such as a faulty oxygen sensor, can improve gas mileage by as much as 40 percent.

The @Road Field Asset Management module helps businesses who use @Road MRM solutions to manage their mobile workers, their mobile workers' work and their mobile workers' assets, and includes the following features:

-- Automatic reminder notifications via email to designated individuals when maintenance is due

-- Online and scheduled email reports to help track maintenance activity, history or overdue services

-- Tracking of up to 20 customizable maintenance items (13 default)

-- The ability to add, update or delete maintenance items as desired

-- Individually customizable maintenance alert thresholds (by mileage or days) for maintenance reminder notifications

-- New screens for setting up maintenance items, schedules and alert notifications

-- New screens for displaying maintenance status, updating maintenance records and obtaining online reports

-- Detailed, multi-page status reports
