NEW YORK, Jan. 28 -- Today, Zagat Survey announced the release of ZAGAT TO GO(SM) 3.0 for iPhone(TM) and iPodr touch users.
Developed with Handmarkr, a global leader in the development and distribution of mobile applications and services, the new application incorporates the latest in mobile application technology, including augmented reality. Zagat's succinct reviews help diners make quick informed decisions on the go based on the professionally edited, collective opinions of thousands of avid diners.
This latest version of ZAGAT TO GO(SM), also compatible with the new iPad, features three major updates. Augmented reality provides users with an interactive view of restaurants through their iPhone 3GS camera. Off-line sync now enables both iPhone and iTouch users to access Zagat's content anywhere - on the subway, in an airplane and even internationally - regardless of internet or mobile reception. Also, writing Zagat reviews is easier than ever, since the app now allows users to write and publish reviews directly to ZAGAT.com from their phone.
In addition to the Zagat ratings and reviews, the Zagat Recommends feature acts as a "digital concierge" to filter restaurant choices based on the user's preferences; other features of ZAGAT TO GO(SM) 3.0 include instant restaurant reservation capabilities and the ability to search establishments around the world using GPS (where available) or by choosing from hundreds of cities worldwide.
ZAGAT TO GO(SM) was named one of FireceMobileContent's Top 10 mobile apps of 2009 and has consistently been one of the top paid travel applications in the App Store. ZAGAT TO GO(SM) 3.0 is a free update for current ZAGAT TO GO(SM) subscribers. New customers can download ZAGAT TO GO(SM) from the Apple App Store for $9.99.
