Mobile Advertising Gets a Boost From Augmented Reality on Brightkite

Interesting as I was just thinking that things have been pretty quiet
from Brightkite recently in all honesty, I was thinking that the
Brightkite users had chilled out a bit as well, having not seen much
activity from my Brightkite connections.
Just today the company has announced that they are using the Laya
Augmented Reality (AR) browser to add mobile advertising to the
Brightkite experience. Seems that Best Buy is the first client to jump
on board as iPhone and Android mobile device users can use the app to
view notes ,sales, and other interesting items via the application -
