Application for the BlackBerry Bold, Storm, Tour and Curve Handsets
Delivering Advanced Mobile Collaboration for BlackBerry Users
Glide Engage: Intelligent Macro and Micro Blogging With Rights Based File Sharing for Productive Blackberry Users
NEW YORK- Today Glide OS launches perhaps the most significant new business and social networking and mobile collaboration application of 2009 for the BlackBerry Bold, Storm, Tour and Curve Phones. Glide Engage for BlackBerry is available for download today at http://glideos.com/mobiledownloads.html.
Glide Engage is a rights-based social networking and macro/micro-blogging service that enables users to send and read messages that carry Breaking News, documents, images and other files and share their thoughts. Glide Engage is fully integrated with Glide's productivity and collaboration application suite as well as with Glide's synchronized, cross platform compatible file storage solution. Glide Engage provides users with 20GBs of free storage.
Users can now create text-based posts on their BlackBerry phones including the Bold, Storm, Tour and Curve with up to 1,400 characters. Users can also engage in private or public discussions that are stored in their Glide Engage Inbox and Outbox for interaction that is more dynamic and immediate than email. Discussions can be archived as Glide Write, Microsoft Word 2007 or earlier, PDF or RTF documents. Glide Engage integrates customizable News Alerts so that users can easily track Developing News Stories and share them in posts with one click and even simultaneously publish to Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. Glide Engage also enables users to link their Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Delicious and StumbleUpon profiles into their Glide Engage profile.
"The BlackBerry platform has long been the choice of business professionals around the world," said TransMedia Chairman & CEO, Donald Leka. "Today we are excited to launch the native version of Glide Engage for BlackBerry users providing a powerful business and social networking application and an integrated productivity and collaboration application suite that greatly expands the capabilities of BlackBerry phones. With integrated rights based file sharing, version control and tracking capabilities, Glide Engage raises the bar for mobile business collaboration applications."
Glide's automated device and platform recognition, automated transcoding and file synchronization serve to expand the cross platform collaboration capabilities of the BlackBerry with Android, iPhone, Palm Pre, Symbian and Windows Mobile as well as increase desktop compatibility with Linux, Mac and Windows PCs.
