New GIS on Blackberry Delivers Cell Tower Locates, Reverse Geocoding, Current Travel Time

- continues to deliver new and useful functionality for mobile
workers. Freeance Mobile software enables BlackBerry smartphones to
access ESRI ArcGISr Server software, and with the release of new
BlackBerry smartphones running BlackBerry OS 5.0, will have even more
GIS productivity tools.
Cell tower locations - A user's current location can now be displayed on a mobile map, even when GPS is not available. This is ideal for use in buildings and under structures. The approximate accuracy of calculated locations will also be displayed.
Reverse geocoding and geocoding - Locating and zooming to any street address in the US or Canada will be available to Freeance Mobile users, regardless of whether they have their own street centerline file. With reverse geocoding, users can select a point on the map and have the closest street address returned.
Current travel time - Freeance Mobile users can now find the current travel time between any two points in the States and Canada. Freeance Mobile will show street route segments with individual travel times allowing end-users to find estimated time of travel with current traffic conditions.
