A rich harvest for the 65 million active players of Zynga's FarmVille:
Helpful tips and more at Playata's independent database "FarmBook"
Bernried (Germany), November 26th 2009: Playata launches the world's first game database within Facebook to cater to the vastly growing number of social games players. The FarmVille database "FarmBook" is now available within Facebook (http://apps.facebook.com/thefarmbook) and at www.fbplayers.com, Playata's new website for social games players. Databases for other Facebook games will be added soon.
Over 60 million Facebook users are currently playing "FarmVille", Zynga's popular farming simulator. With Playata's new database "FarmBook", FarmVille players can now browse and search for game content to help them manage their game time and make the best purchase decisions. Easy-to-use navigation and sortable tables help users find the most profitable crops suitable for their play style and time commitment. The "Specials" category highlights items available for a limited time only and the "Newest Items" overview is just what busy farmers need in order to keep track of the latest content additions.
FarmBook's item viewer gives users a close-up look at the graphics and animations of FarmVille. Players can even preview the sounds of farm animals as they move about their business. Detailed rankings list the best items for gaining Experience Points and Gold Coins. The most popular decorative items are determined based on players ratings. Users can also easily link to specific game items within Facebook or use HTML and BBC code for integrating FarmBook links within their personal web sites.
"We are very proud to present the world's first information resource for a Facebook game in an easy-to-use database form. Facebook, with its more than 300 million users, has become a phenomenal gaming platform. Offering gaming databases to the tens of millions of players of Facebook's most popular applications is an important extension of Playata's portfolio." said Johannes Sevket Gözalan, CEO and Co-Founder of Playata.
"Behind their cute surface, successful Facebook games such as FarmVille offer surprising depth and complexity. Our databases are up-to-date resources which make it easy for players to find the best game content and optimize their playing strategy." said Heinrich Lenhardt, COO and Co-Founder of Playata.
