Thanks to the agreement with modomodo,
Parcheggi.it portal provides on mobile all the infos to find and reach
2000 garages available in its database
Milano, 11th November 2009 - From now on finding a parking is not a problem anymore.
Thanks to the agreement between modomodo, an Italian company that has developed a platform
that allows to bring contents on mobile and tie them with proximity services that improve the life
quality of people using them, and Parcheggi.it, the only Italian portal fully devoted to parking
world, to find a parking area or a garage you just need three clicks on your mobile phone.
To use this service you will just have to free download modomodo client on your mobile: the
service will quickly find among the 2000 garages available in Parcheggi.it database, the nearest
parking areas to the place you are in that precise moment or the parking areas near to the
mobile, following a proximity rule. Moreover you will be able to see on your display the
information about the parking and the quickest way to get there.
The new service on mobile uses Location Based Services (LBS) platform developed by modomodo
using the positioning capabilities of an integrated GPS receiver, turning the mobile phone into a
single point of access to various proximity services and mobility experiences.
If your phone is not equipped with a GPS receiver, you simply need to enter the name of the
street where you are or where you need to find the parking to have literally on your hand all the
garages of Parcheggi.it.
"More and more we discover and understand the reality around us through the display of our
mobile phone which in few minutes gathers datas, services and information useful for our daily
life", states Fabio Maglioni, President & CEO of modomodo. " The value we want to propose to the
market it's just quickly transforming contents, turning them directly and effectively available for
everybody. Wherever. On the mobile. The agreement with Parcheggi.it represents an example of
the effectiveness of our business model."
modomodo software platform is meant to turn the mobile phone into the only point of access to
answer to the daily needs to move, work, having fun and get in touch with people.
The agreement with modomodo means for Parcheggi.it the achievement of a fundamental stage
concerning the evolution of the way to spread contents. "Services modomodo offers- says Piero
Violante, in charge of Parcheggi.it website development - represent the accomplishment and the
evolution of what we wished when we founded our portal, that is to say what we once defined
"Standing Internet", meaning with that the possibility to receive useful information on mobile.
Therefore mobile phone perception as an indispensable and unique source of personalized
information that could make our life easier. That's why this initiative makes us proud and leads us
towards more and more researches on this matter".
