Written by Carbon Project
Friday, 11 November 2005

Burlington, MA, November 11, 2005 - The Carbon Project, the world leader in Open-Geospatial .NET technology, today announced that it published the first installment of a freely available educational series designed to help open-geospatial developers.

"This is the first of a series of articles designed to help open-geospatial developers use the CarbonTools API. The objective is to provide simple solutions to burning questions as well as enable the growing community of open-geospatial developers with the knowledge to take their development to the next level," said Nuke Goldstein, Founder of The Carbon Project.

The instructional series is available on The Carbon Portal located at http://www.TheCarbonPortal.net. The full source code used in the articles for the .NET controls and the demo applications will be available with the powerful new upgrade to CarbonTools, CarbonTools Lite 2.1.

The first article in the series shows developers how to enable their software solutions with a multi-layered view of location-based information coming from multiple sources implementing Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc. (OGC) standards. Topics covered in the instructional series will also be integrated into the popular "Fundamentals of Open-Geospatial Development" training course.
