The Latest Tele Atlas North American and European Data Powers ESRI
StreetMap Premium for Optimal Geocoding, Routing, and Map Display
Redlands, California-August 25, 2009-ESRI announces the addition of Tele Atlas map data to ESRI StreetMap Premium. This enhanced street database works with ESRI's ArcGIS software to provide geocoding, routing, and high-quality map display. Users may now license StreetMap Premium based on comprehensive Tele Atlas digital maps for North America and Europe.
The optimized data structure of StreetMap Premium, accessed through ESRI's Smart Data Compression (SDC) format, ensures ease of use with ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Desktop to achieve the highest address geocoding match rates and generate the best routes and driving directions as well as produce superior basemaps. With StreetMap Premium, users have the flexibility to license the latest Tele Atlas maps by geography (e.g., continent, region, country, or state/province) and business function (e.g., display, geocoding, and/or routing).
Christophe Charpentier, ArcGIS content product manager, ESRI, said, "The Tele Atlas data in ESRI StreetMap Premium enables rich cartographic display, superior geocoding, and efficient cross-border route planning with turn-by-turn instructions. This is the same data that already powers ESRI applications such as ArcGIS Business Analyst, ArcPad, and ArcGIS Online."
"ESRI StreetMap Premium allows users around the world to easily load the latest Tele Atlas map database as a convenient, single source," said Todd Schmitt, enterprise markets manager, Tele Atlas. "Tele Atlas is proud to continue our long-standing support of ESRI's integrated ArcGIS platform by providing fresh maps developed using stringent processes and enhanced with community input to add even more value to our products and the ESRI offerings."
The StreetMap Premium specification ensures its compatibility with the latest versions of ESRI's ArcGIS applications, with coordinated releases to ensure data synchronization as well as format consistency over time.
