Psiloc announces a new Freemium service for travelers

Warsaw, Poland, June 02, 2009 Psiloc announced the availability of World Traveler, their newest travel aid service.
It will be available globally for Nokia S60 3.0 handsets. "We excitingly anticipate the global success of this solution, as it introduces a totally fresh outlook on mobile travel services" - says Marek Filipiak, Psiloc's CEO. World Traveler is based on a FREEMIUM business model. It provides both free, travel related content as well as billable plug-in services.
About World Traveler
World Traveler is a breakthrough open platform application developed by Psiloc that is aimed to make a business traveler's life easier. The currently released version offers four basic free services:
Weather - a five day weather forecast and current conditions for around 2200 most popular travel locations worldwide.
World Clock - four analog or digital clocks which show local time at four cities of your choice simultaneously.
Currencies - automatic currency converter which uses local exchange rates. The currencies plug-in supports daily closing values of 184 exchange rates.
World Map - a moving 3D globe which shows day and night zones, My City and any city selected by the user.
The open platform infrastructure allows other premium travel services to be offered, installed and accessed from the World Traveler application in a seamless, easy way. World Traveler creates a business platform for third- party's, travel-related plug-ins. Psiloc provides development API for third party companies so that they can reach a broad customer base of travelers. These plug-ins may often include premium billable content. The main focus of the upcoming services, with more to come, is a tool called Travel Plan.
Travel Plan is an automatic travel planner and calendar which interacts with other plug-ins and helps you plan your entire trip in one inter-connected Plan. It allows you to search for a flight, schedule it and monitor its status, while receiving alerts if it's changing. One can also book hotels, car rentals and anything else you may need to make your trip a pleasant and effective experience. Travel Plan's main benefit is being a convenient and interactive smart hub for every essential aspect of your trip.
