Cuts down fraud in priority industries like home healthcare allowing
companies to more efficiently and effectively manage mobile workforce
ARLINGTON, Va.--Trident Internet Systems, Inc. a leading manufacturer of workforce software, just released, a new state-of-the-art software, which allows companies to track employees from any location in the world using a mobile GPS system. ExtendTime Mobile GPS is a comprehensive labor management tool eliminating the manual tracking of labor data; giving employers real-time information on employees while working in remote locations.
ExtendTime Mobile GPS was particularly designed with the home healthcare industry in mind, where auditing time and keeping up with compliance issues has been a challenge in recent years. However, the software can be used for any industry, which has a large mobile workforce.
This technology will revolutionize the way employers manage workforce time and attendance, says Said Khosrowshahi, President of Trident Internet Systems. ExtendTime not only benefits a company because it allows the mobile management of the workforce saving on overhead costs, but it provides easier access for employees to complete employer administrative requirements, remotely, says Mr. Khosrowshahi.
Probably, one of the most critical benefits to companies is the ability to create an audit trail on time and attendance in industries that have a high number of mobile workers, like home healthcare. The patient is the one who suffers because right now we have no way of verifying if their caregiver is actually providing the in-home care they need.
Since cracking down on fraud is one of the most important priorities in healthcare, as announced by HHS nominee, Governor Sebelius, tracking time and attendance becomes key in the management of home healthcare services. Today, the industry has an annual revenue of $55 billion, but it is expected to grow 55% by 2016. The industry is confronted with the challenges of Prospective Payment System (PPS) reform that focus on pay-for-performance, as opposed to the old system of fee-for-service to cut down fraud and inefficiencies. ExtendTime Mobile GPS was designed to handle this new system.
The system is very simple to use and can be accessed through cell phones or PDAs with GPS capability. Employees can clock time, review schedules and messages, transfer labor hours and check benefit information. The employee will be able to specify the account, the project and billing codes while they are inputting their data in their mobile device. ExtendTime was designed with an enhanced rules engine, which can handle any time and attendance policy and allows for the customization of individual company needs.
Trident Internet Systems is a technology firm headquartered in Arlington, VA providing a host of services from software development and IT consulting to other computer services for both commercial and government entities. For more information on ExtendTime please visit www.extendtime.com.
