MyStateUSA's AlertSense Gives NWWARN Effective, Interoperable Public Alerting and Collaborative Intelligence Sharing - Speeds Mass Public Alerting and Optimizes Readiness, Responsiveness and Secure Inter-Agency Communications.
BOISE, Idaho, March 30 -- MyStateUSA, innovators in secure, scalable and flexible emergency communication and notification systems, today announced new capabilities and a major new deployment of AlertSense, a uniquely comprehensive Web-delivered public safety communications system that delivers rapid, dependable, precise public notification, and simplifies strategic inter-agency communications. AlertSense is now successfully deployed across NWWARN, the NorthWest Warning, Alert and Response Network encompassing five US states, three Canadian Provinces and 1000+ critical infrastructure and private sector organizations.
AlertSense brings new ease and economy to regional, county and state/multi-state alerting, public notification and Amber Alerting. It also streamlines content sharing among agencies and public/private sector entities via a secure, user-intuitive dashboard. Its highly-scalable architecture gives users new mobility and freedom to build as-needed dynamic collaboration teams and content flows, and flexibly adapts to support custom features.
"We needed dependable mass alerting and a secure, flexible framework for managing dynamic response and recovery communications," notes Joe Huden, NWWARN Technical Administrator and Homeland Security Planner for the City of Everett, Washington. "Our vast civilian coverage area and the potential complexities of content sharing among numerous interacting agencies and entities guided our selection process, as did our unique usage feature needs, security requirements and budget constraints. AlertSense emerged as the clear choice, and helps us ensure that critical knowledge can immediately and securely reach all of those who must act on it."
NWWARN was jointly developed by the Pacific Northwest Economic Region (PNWER) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), in partnership with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), to help protect citizens and critical infrastructure across the Northwestern United States and Western Canada. PNWER's Disaster Resilience and Homeland Security initiatives are recognized as best practices among US and Canadian authorities for disaster readiness and recovery.
AlertSense delivers:
-- Carrier-Class Dependability and Reach: delivered via Tier 1 carrier
data centers, providing 5-9's reliability, secure redundancy and
globally-supported load balancing. Its secure, easy-to-use command
and control portal gives authorized users new mobility to work from
any computer system, maximizing in-field access. AlertSense
incorporates robust authentication, government encryption and advanced
security protections, and enables compliance with the Common Alerting
Protocol (CAP) standard.
-- Industry-Leading Usability and Reliable, Precise Alerting: its
architecture uniquely supports customized features and innovative
capabilities such as Dynamic Event Inclusion, allowing team leaders to
immediately add individuals and group participants to response teams
without pre-programming. It rapidly identifies and notifies citizens
via email, text messaging, GIS-based outbound dialing, EAS Broadcasts,
sirens, tone-alert radios and distinctive cellular geo-casting.
AlertSense gives users new control over advanced multi-modal broadcast
alerting while preserving inbound communications capabilities and
network resources.
-- Economical Deployability: Software as a Service (SAAS) Web delivery
minimizes hardware costs, ongoing management burdens and capital
expenses.
"We are proud to introduce new levels of secure, reliable, extensible and highly usable interoperable communications, and to be deployed by strategic users such as NWWARN," summarized Brenn Bitner, Chief Accounts Officer, MyStateUSA.
