Kinoma to Preview Much Anticipated Mobile Media Browser for S60 on
Symbian OS at CTIA Wireless 2009 in Las Vegas - Visit Nokia booth
#7553 for sneak preview
PALO ALTO, Calif. - March 27, 2009 - Kinoma will offer visitors to CTIA Wireless a first ever sneak preview of its Kinoma Play mobile media browser for Nokia's S60 devices. Kinoma Play for S60, slated for launch on Nokia's forthcoming Ovi Store, lets consumers see and hear their favorite media faster. It will be featured in Nokia booth #7553 at the CTIA Wireless show in Las Vegas, April 1-3.
Kinoma Play is a fundamentally better way to find, play and share all kinds of media -- videos, music, podcasts, radio, audiobooks and photos -- whether they're on your phone, your home PC, or streaming from your favorite social media sites. It delivers an exceptional, touch-optimized media experience for leading sites like YouTube, Flickr, Picasa, SHOUTcast and Live365, and the built-in Kinoma Guide puts "the best of the web" within easy reach.
"Kinoma Play for S60 is a natural progression for us," said Peter Hoddie, co-founder and CEO of Kinoma. "S60 on Symbian OS is the world's leading mobile platform, and that's appealing because we want the whole world to be able to enjoy the Kinoma mobile media experience. Through Forum Nokia, we get access to devices like the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic which is a great showcase for Kinoma Play, and we're excited about the prospect of being able to connect with Nokia customers through Ovi Store."
"The flexibility of S60 truly supports third party developers and allows them a robust platform to showcase their software in the best light," said Rob Taylor, Head of Forum Nokia. "We are excited to provide such a great mobile media experience for our consumers and look forward to seeing Kinoma Play available through the Ovi Store."
To get your sneak peek of Kinoma Play on S60, visit the Nokia booth (#7553) at CTIA Wireless 2009, April 1-3 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV.
