TomTom Announces New Map Subscription Service in US

Low Annual Fee for a Full Year of Map Updates to Ensure Up-to-Date Maps
CONCORD, Mass.-- TomTom, the world's leading navigation solutions provider, today unveils its Map Update ServiceTM, allowing customers easy access to one year of quarterly map updates, for a one-time fee as low as $39.80, or $9.95 per map release.
All map updates are available for download through TomTom HOME, TomTom's free desktop software application. New maps become available every quarter for the duration of a user's subscription, and each map update incorporates all changes in the road network that have been validated by Tele Atlas. Subscribers will be alerted to download the latest map update as soon as they are available.

"The road network changes up to 15% each year, but with our 30 Day Latest Map Guarantee, TomTom Map ShareTM and now, TomTom's Map Update Service, users can rest assured knowing that with TomTom, their maps are always accurate and up-to-date."
TomTom's Complete Map Offering:
30 Day Latest Map Guarantee, gives users free access to the latest map; If a new map becomes available within 30 days of first use of the device, users are entitled to a one-time free map download via TomTom HOME.
TomTom Map ShareT Technology, enables users to make updates and corrections to their own maps instantly on the device and to benefit from improvements made by other users, completely free of charge. New Map Share features include the ability to change turn restrictions and posted road speeds, edit POI information, (un)block streets, and reverse traffic directions.
Map Update Service, allows customers to ensure maps are always up-to-date with the latest map update. On average, a new map release includes thousands of miles of new roads and Points of Interest, as well as unique Map Share corrections that have been reported by TomTom customers and verified by Tele Atlas. The service gives users easy access to one year of quarterly map updates for a one time fee.
Availability
The Map Update Service is available to all TomTom customers, with subscription prices for US and Canada Maps. Prices will vary depending on the TomTom device model.
