Polar Mobile extends service to millions of potential customers with Cascada Mobile Breeze
TORONTO, ON - March 9, 2009 -Cascada Mobile (www.cascadamobile.com) today announced a partnership with Polar Mobile (www.polarmobile.com) to utilize Cascada's Breeze mobile development platform to quickly and easily extend the reach of Polar Mobile's platform beyond smart phones to Java-based mobile phones. The first Breeze-built mobile app will be for The Hockey News, a leading hockey publication.
With Cascada Mobile's Breeze platform, developers can create mobile apps in as little as 15 minutes that can take full advantage of the functions and features of mobile phones and smart phones - from the address book to the camera. Breeze-built mobile applications are tested and ported to operate on hundreds of different device makes and models as well as hundreds of networks around the globe, making Breeze-created applications available and ready to run on billions of phones worldwide.
"Polar Mobile has been tremendously successful offering publishers an easy way to get their mobile content to their readers," said Alan Lysne, CEO, Cascada Mobile. "Our platform lets them offer mobile content to `feature phone' users, enabling them to reach a completely new audience. The first mobile app is a version of The Hockey News, a publication dedicated to hockey fans."
Media publishers globally are working with Polar Mobile's proprietary push-publishing platform to effectively extend their brands to mobile phones. Through device-based applications that users download over the air directly to their mobile phone, users have access to content from their favorite publications much faster than browsing through traditional mobile websites.
"Offering fresh content from leading publishers to customers via platforms such as BlackBerry and iPhone has been tremendously successful for us," said Kunal Gupta, CEO, Polar Mobile. "We recognize the large market outside smart phones that we want to reach and our partnership with Cascada allows us to do exactly that."
The application will be free to download for users and will provide a new channel for advertisers that seamlessly works with Polar Mobile's platform. SMS `cmap get hockey' to 32075 to download the application to your feature phone.
