PARIS, February 16 -- In an effort to help travelers everywhere, NAVX
and WCITIES have teamed up to distribute WCITIES guides for 100
destinations across North America, Europe and Asia via NAVX's
geo-localized content store and social community website.
Travelers will be able to purchase and download the city guides so that they have information at their fingertips while on the road.
With over 100 destinations to be released, NAVX and WCITIES have many of the world's most popular tourist locations covered. The WCITIES guides will help travelers to find great places to eat, shop and sleep, as well as describing the popular sights and nightlife for each destination.
NAVX allows travelers to prepare for, record and share details of trips and holidays. NAVX also makes their platform available as a white label of original and user-generated content to GPS device manufacturers.
Jean Cherbonnier, CEO of NAVX, comments: "NAVX delivers best in class solutions bringing together LBS, navigation, user generated content and communities. We are very excited to offer WCITIES guides to enable consumers to discover and explore location aware experiences."
Fraser Campbell, CEO of WCITIES, comments:"NAVX offers WCITIES a great opportunity to reach a market that has been underserved with relevant and timely destination information for cities around the world."
NAVX is at MWC in Barcelona, demonstrating their platform (TeleAtlas 8C118).
