There’s lots of cool things about Twitter including a TON of third-party add-ons but what makes it very useful is the people!
There's plenty of GIS companies, Geo-bloggers, and Geo technology
professionals that you can follow including @esri, @erdas, @terrago,
@gotgeoint, @gisuser, @lbszone, @loopt, @navteq, @bentleysystems,
@mappsgeo and many other GIS companies and Geo professionals (including
