Macworld Conference & Expo 2009 SAN FRANCISCO-- Macworld Conference
& Expo today announced the release of iMacworld 1.1, the
full-featured revision of its application for iPhone and iPod Touch
devices designed to help attendees navigate Macworld Expo, the largest
gathering of Mac enthusiasts in the world.
The new revision puts exhibitor listings, a show floor map, a conference session guide, and show communications directly into the hands of attendees. iMacworld 1.1 is available as a free download from the AppStore.
"iMacworld is a valuable new tool for anyone coming to Macworld this week," said Paul Kent, vice president and general manager, Macworld Conference & Expo. "There's so much to experience at Macworld and this new application makes it easy for iPhone users to find exactly what they are looking for, as well as to stay updated on the latest information coming out of the show. It's a perfect demonstration of the way in which the amazing technology being shown at Macworld is being put to use."
The iMacworld application includes information on Macworld exhibitors as well as their products, and allows users to browse vendors by name or location. Users can also browse products on display by name, category, or vendor. In addition, the software will automatically check the Web for new information about Macworld exhibitors and events and save the data locally so users don't need to rely on their accessing their network or cell phone for updates.
Macworld Conference & Expo takes place January 5-9, 2009 at San Francisco's Moscone Center. For more information about the event, or to register for Macworld, please visit www.macworldexpo.com.
