Device Developed For Gamers, by Gamers to Take Multi-Player Games Anywhere
DAYTONA BEACH, FL (OCTOBER 22, 2008) PosiMotion, one of the top publishers of applications for the Apple iPhone has announced the first-ever mobile Wi-Fi network gaming hub for all Wi-Fi-enabled devices. The G-Fi VS supports ad-hoc Wi-Fi connectivity between multiple devices over a range of 100 feet. The device supports 802.11 b/g connectivity for multiple player games, as well as file, media, and data sharing between all supported devices.
The G-Fi VS packs full size Wi-Fi hub capabilities into a completely wireless and portable package smaller than a wallet (3.08 [L] x 2.91 [W] x 0.69 [H]) and weighing about 2.5 ounces. The device is powered by an internal Li-ion battery and charged via a mini-USB port. Battery life is six hours.
We understand what gamers want in portable connectivity, said PosiMotions chief technology officer Clayton Kane. The G-Fi VS was designed by gamers, for gamers, to provide the uninterrupted and latency-free gaming experience that serious gamers demand.
The G-Fi VS joins PosiMotions previously announced portable G-Fi, the worlds first Mobile GPS network Wi-Fi router and its collection of popular iPhone and iPod Touch applications.
The G-Fi VS will bridge the gap between casual and hard-core gamers, said PosiMotions director and chief executive officer Olivier Hennessy. The G-Fi VS also makes it easy for business travelers to set up ad-hoc networks at conferences, client meetings, or staff events to share files, media and other information.
The G-Fi VS will be available in November. Suggested retail price is $149.00.
