Qualifying contestants of the 2009 NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge (www.LBSchallenge.com) will receive the Samsung INNOV8 (i8510) and software tools to enable the development of location-based services (LBS) applications.
The INNOV8 (i8510) features LBS and

the worlds first 8 Megapixel camera phone.
All contestants can receive technical assistance through the recently launched Samsung Mobile Innovator web portal (innovator.samsungmobile.com) which provides developers a direct channel to Samsungs developer resources.
Developers registering for the NAVTEQ Global LBS Challenge can now
download the Samsung SDK Extensions for S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2

Optical Joystick API, enables applications to provide a mouse-style cursor for user interaction
Both of these APIs are open to third party applications on the new
i8510 phone, the first Samsung phone based on S60 3rd Edition, FP2. The
beta release is an installable package that extends the standard S60
FP2 SDK wit
Both support for the additional
Samsung APIs. In this release, the support is not yet complete. The
release includes the following:
Samsung FP2 emulator with i8510 skins and emulation
Emulator provides X, Y, Z settings and orientation switcher controls to support G-Sensor emulation
GSensorEx example application, demonstrates use of G-Sensor API orientation data
GSensorObserver, displays G-Sensor X,Y,Z accelerometer data
