Ramat-Gan, Israel, October 13 AtlasCT is announcing the release of
version 3.2, the newest version of AtlasMobile API, an advanced
package for location-based mobile applications development.
The AtlasMobile API is designed for fast development of location-based applications in Java ME. The new version of AtlasMobile API is the most advanced in the market and most unique by its small footprint, high performance and low memory usage. It is compatible with low-end to high-end mobile devices either equipped with GPS or not. AtlasMobile API is modular and composed of three packages:
Maps
o Worldwide street maps, satellite imagery and hybrid maps
o Interactive map allowing zooming, panning and dragging
o Search addresses, points-of-Interest (POIs) and driving directions
o Custom layers and dynamic content display
o Keypad and touch screen support
o Extendable Plug-ins and Widgets based framework
Positioning
o Acquiring real time location and displaying it on the map
o Supports both internal and external GPS receivers
Rich Multimedia
o Ability to play sounds and voices within the application
o Taking snapshots from phone camera
o Sending location or other information via SMS or MMS
AtlasMobile API is compatible with Java ME (J2ME) mobile phones and smartphones on 2G-3.5G and has a long track record of success running on Nokia, Samsung, Sony-Ericsson, Motorola, LG and more devices.
The most outstanding fact is that 100% of companies who chose AtlasMobile API for their maps and location-based platform became semifinalists in NAVTEQ LBS Challenge for over 2 years in all regions.
Dannie Francis, Chief Executive Officer at CellCity said: Working with the AtlasCT team has been a pleasure. Their professional support and advanced technology has enabled us to deliver our interactive map solution for DC2Go® (available from www.dc2go.mobi, www.dc2go.net) in record time allowing for short time-to-market, We were able to add several layers of information to the interactive maps (including restaurants and retail outlets), enable personal navigation, routing to and from, complete with addresses and click to call.
AtlasMobile API is our leading product for developers Says Yogev Triki, Chief Technology Officer at AtlasCT, And with the latest features and additions it now opens us to many more markets than ever before, such as asset tracking, friend finding, location-based advertising and more... We expect a growing flow of developers seeking for a tool that will empower their mobile application, shorten their TTM (time to market) and give them peace of mind for porting issues.
