Contest to add location-awareness capabilities to ISV mobile application
BERKELEY, Calif., Sep 10, 2008 -- Apisphere Inc. ( www.apisphere.com), a leading provider of location-awareness services for mobile business applications and devices, is looking for application developers and independent software vendors (ISV) who want to integrate location-awareness into their mobile enterprise or consumer applications. Apisphere will be accepting submissions from ISVs starting this week at CTIA Wireless I.T. & Entertainment. The company will invest $30,000 to $50,000 of development time into enhancing one best-in-class mobile application with its location-awareness platform.
The contest will demonstrate the power and flexibility of Apisphere's Geo-Enabled Mobility(TM) (GEM) platform and ApisExpress(TM) SaaS process engine. It is open to all sectors of the ISV community from CRM, field service and mobile sales; to social networking, new media and other types of consumer-focused mobile applications. The contest will provide interested participants with access to Apisphere's custom platforms (ApisExpress and GEM), unlimited connector development to leverage traffic, weather and Findmy services, as well as VOIP network and Voice UI solutions from Apisphere partners.
"This contest is a great opportunity for ISVs to experience first hand the enormous value our ApisExpress and GEM platforms add to virtually any mobile application by having their solution enhanced with integrated location-awareness capabilities," said Craig Harper, CEO, Apisphere. "There are endless possibilities for how location-aware capabilities can be leveraged and we are excited to see the vast range of applications that get proposed through this contest."
How to Participate
Apisphere has created a location-based triggered application that will send the application form directly to the interested participant's mobile phone or handheld device. To submit an application to be enhanced visit Apisphere's CTIA booth, #1634, September 10-12, 2008, text the word "apisdream" to 20123, or visit developer.apisphere.com/dream to register. Applications will be accepted until September 28th. The winner will be announced on October 1st and the new integrated application will be showcased at Salesforce.com's Dreamforce Conference in San Francisco November 2-5, 2008.
About GEM and ApisExpress
