Berkeley, CA: August 26, 2008 Apisphere Inc. (www.apisphere.com), a
leading provider of location-awareness services for mobile business
applications and devices, today announced a partnership with Fieldpoint
Service Applications Inc. to integrate its real-time geo-location data
capabilities into FieldPoints mobile help desk, field service,
contracts and project management applications.
Fieldpoints Alert software offers customizable Web-based professional services applications for IT help desk support, knowledge base management, field service dispatching, resource scheduling, project management, retainer contracts, timesheets, pricing and customer billing. Apispheres Geo-Enabled Mobility (GEM) platform will be integrated with Alert to enhance the application with location-awareness capabilities. Apisphere will work with Fieldpoint to boost its customers service management by providing targeted real-time geographical information to improve efficiency and reduce costs ranging from delivering location-specific traffic updates to service vehicles on route, to assigning a support call to service technicians in the field based on their current location.
By providing our customers with up-to-the-minute geographic data, we will be able to help them manage and deploy their resources more efficiently and effectively, ultimately reducing their costs, said Rich Smart, CEO, Fieldpoint. With Apispheres real-time location-awareness capabilities integrated into our Alert software, we can further differentiate our professional services solutions by providing customers access to meaningful and relevant geographic information at their fingertips.
Apispheres GEM platform will provide Fieldpoints Alert software with real-time location information customized to the clients needs including directions to service stops, route optimization as well as mobile resource location and tracking. Additionally, for field service customers, it will automate the assignment of support calls based on the location of resources in real-time, helping to considerably reduce response times.
With the enormous growth in professional services market worldwide, businesses are looking for solutions that can help them respond more rapidly and accurately in any situation as well as make quick decisions on how to most effectively allocate resources, said Craig Harper, CEO, Apisphere. With Apispheres location-aware solutions Fieldpoint is offering its customers an exceptional scheduling and resource management tool as well as mobile field service functionalities that are second to none.
