Berkeley, CA: August 19, 2008 Apisphere, Inc. http://www.apisphere.com, a leading provider of location-awareness services for mobile business applications and devices, today announced a partnership with Nissho Electronics USA Corporation. With extensive experience and expertise built on strong market-leading customer and partner relationships, Nissho focuses on providing clients with practical IT solutions in a range of fields, combining information, telecommunications, and electronics.
Through this partnership, Apisphere will also be working with Nisshos manufacturing partner Advantage Century Telecommunications Corporations (ACT), a leading provider of Internet Protocol (IP) telephony solutions, to produce location-aware mobile communication hardware products for businesses and consumers. Working with Nissho and ACT, Apisphere will have access to custom manufacturing services that will ensure superior product quality for customers in Asia-Pacific and around the world.
There is an increasing demand for location-aware mobile services in Japan, said Toshi Kibe, President and CEO of Nissho Electronics USA Corporation. Working with Apisphere will help us address our customers needs for unique solutions to enhance their mobile business applications and services.
The strategic technology partnership with Nissho and ACT will leverage Apispheres GEM platform which delivers mobile content, including applications and messaging which are triggered to launch when users enter specified locations. Asia-Pacific countries, specifically Japan, are leading the global adoption of mobile devices and use of mobile data, said Craig Harper, CEO of Apisphere. Adding location-aware capabilities to mobile business and consumer applications will allow users to work more efficiently and provide a more interactive experience through real-time location data.
