At the 2008 International ESRI User Conference in San Diego, CA, the ArcPAD developer team provided attendees with a glimpse of what's coming in the next release of ArcPad at R7.2. Developer lead, Elvin Slavik, provides details in this video.

ArcPad 7.2 expected Q4, 2008 - beta applications are being accepted now. Look for:

- Streetmap improvement
- sync directly with ArcGIS server
Something users and would-be purchasers should keep in mind is the GeoCollector Bundled solution - an ESRI and Trimble solution. An "Out of the box mobile solution" enabling users to add db attributes in the field, add a point via GPS input, redlining, and much more. Provides ArcPAD and Trimble's GPScorrect for ArcPad software preinstalled on a GeoExplorer 2008 series handheld.
