DUBLIN, Ireland--Research and Markets has announced the addition of the "Netherlands - Mobile Market - Overview & Statistics" report to their offering.

The Netherlands has experienced solid growth in the mobile sector during the last two years, despite market saturation. MVNOs accounted for a quarter of new subscribers in 2007. There remain only three network operators, following the acquisition of Orange by T-Mobile in late 2007. All provide wholesale services to MVNOs and resellers. Five 3G licences were auctioned in July 2000 with services launched by KPN and Vodafone in 2004, followed by T-Mobile and Orange in 2006. Network operators have reached 90% population coverage on their 3G networks, and have now focussing on HSDPA upgrades to capitalise on mobile data services. KPN launched Europe’s first national mobile TV network in June 2008. This report provides statistics and analyses on the Dutch mobile market in 2008, including a review of the key operators and regulatory issues.
