Universal Guardian ISR Systems Publicly Unveils and Demonstrates SupplyChain Guardian(TM) RFID and Container Guardian(TM) GPS/GPRS at U.S. Maritime Security Expo
NEW YORK, Sept. 21 -- Universal Guardian Holdings, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: UGHO - News), an emerging global leader in non-lethal protection products, security systems and services to protect against terrorist, criminal and security threats to governments and businesses worldwide, publicly unveiled and demonstrated its ISR Systems' integrated and interoperable, Transportation Security platform designed to protect inter-modal transportation worldwide at the United States Maritime Security Expo held in New York City at the Javits Convention Center on September 20 - 21, 2005.
The Company's end-to-end supply chain security program, including its SupplyChain Guardian(TM) source-based RFID system and its Container Guardian(TM) "smart container" system that features an internally mounted container tracking module with on-line tracking capability, which combines cellular and satellite communications and multi-channel sensing in a durable unit that is smaller than a pack of cigarettes, drew considerable attention from attendees during the company's live demonstrations. The Container Guardian(TM) is believed by the company to be the only container tracking system that can be mounted on the inside of a container while being capable of independent stand alone communications without the need for an external antenna.
"Our Trusted Shipper(TM) program is more than just a proven state of the art hardware and software solution," said Universal Guardian Chairman Michael Skellern from the exposition hall on the floor of the Javits Center, "It represents a unique opportunity for any business that ships products, components or raw materials to boost their profits by taking complete control of their supply chain, tracking and monitoring goods from the moment they are loaded into a container until they are unloaded at their final destination while adding a significant layer of enhanced worldwide commerce security to meet enhanced United States and international Homeland Security requirements."
Universal Guardian's Trusted Shipper(TM) platform combines its configurable container modules, international data centers and a sophisticated supply chain and border security program that creates real savings and turns a security expense into a real cost advantage for company's that employ the system. In the "just-in-time" logistics world expedited supply chain efficiencies translate into reduced shipping costs, faster shipping times, and most importantly, less inventory tied up on ships, and more inventory in stores. This can generate significant profits for the companies that use the system.
Universal Guardian's Secure Risks and ISR Systems subsidiaries have cooperated with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, British Ministry of Defense Research and Development and the World Customs Organization in Europe, to provide the Trusted Shipper(TM) program; an integrated, end-to-end system designed to provide a secure and trusted global supply chain that yields its participants efficiencies and financial dividends through Homeland Security compliance.
