Elmar selects Tensing for Track and Trace Solution.

Tensing announced today that N.V. Elmar, sole electric distributor on
the island of Aruba, has chosen the Tensing Mobile GIS Track and Trace
Module for management of their service fleet. Elmar currently uses
Tensing Mobile GIS for their mobile mapping and field design needs.
The Track and Trace Module will give Elmar the ability to track vehicle
locations within the Tensing Mobile GIS application.
According to Alfred Croes, Manager Business Processes at Elmar, many track and trace solutions are readily available in the market today, but we chose Tensings solution because of our positive experiences with both Tensing staff and Tensing products. The Track and Trace Module for Tensing Mobile GIS along with our other solutions allow us more insight into our organization. This information will enable management and supervisors to further improve the productivity and efficiency of our organization.
Currently the Track and Trace module is in the testing stage at Elmar with full rollout expected in late June. The module will allow Elmar to track all their fleet vehicles in the Tensing Mobile GIS application. This eliminates the need for dispatchers to use two separate applications during, for instance, outages when time is short and fast response is necessary.
The Track & Trace module is one five modules available for Tensing Mobile GIS. The four additional modules are Trace, Redline, Microsoft MapPoint, and GPS. Tensing Mobile GIS has robust functionalities out of the box, but the modules give customers even more.
According to Alexander Plomp, Managing Director, we wanted to give our customers the option of these functionalities and not force them to purchase functionalities they dont need at the time. Most of our customers want to just get mobility started then add on the modules later, we give them that option. Elmar has had Tensing Mobile GIS for a while and has just now added the Track and Trace Module after a long search for a fleet management solution.
