Newly Formed Strategic Effort to Accelerate @Road Global Go-to-Market Strategies

FREMONT, Calif.--Sept. 9, 2005--@Road(R), Inc. (Nasdaq:ARDI), a global provider of Mobile Resource Management (MRM) and intelligent field service automation solutions, today announced the formation of a new @Road global alliance and business development initiative established to engage and form new strategic relationships for accelerated international business and long-term revenue growth.

"Our new alliance and business development endeavor will enable us to concentrate an initiative around developing strategic long-term relationships with the right business and technology alliances to advance our MRM solutions worldwide," said Krish Panu, @Road CEO. "While we already have solid relationships with existing alliances on a variety of fronts, we have brought in what we feel is the right cross-section of people to help us realize positive momentum in our efforts to build and strengthen ties with new and existing alliances."

Tom Colby, @Road vice president of strategic alliances, will lead @Road alliance efforts in the Americas and brings more than 20 years of experience in the software and telecommunications industries to the company. Prior to joining @Road, Colby served as an executive in residence at SRI International, an independent, nonprofit research institute conducting research and development for government agencies, commercial businesses, foundations and other organizations. Colby previously served as CEO of Eyematic Interfaces, Inc., a developer of software applications for mobile phones, and as vice president of worldwide operations and corporate development at WebEx Communications, an Internet communication services company. Additionally, Colby held executive business development positions at CellNet Data Systems, Dell and Apple where he managed several technology licensing and alliance building efforts.

Andy Yeoman also joins the @Road team in Europe as vice president of corporate development. In this capacity, Yeoman will be responsible for the European business for the signature @Road MRM solution, GeoManager(SM). Prior to joining @Road, Yeoman was vice president of Europe for ClickSoftware where he led operations for the European region and was instrumental in securing major business alliances and new customers. Yeoman also brings extensive experience in enterprise market technologies, including emerging areas such as workforce management and knowledge management plus more mainstream technologies such as ERP and CRM, to @Road. He has previously held leadership positions in direct and channel sales, marketing, consulting, finance, software engineering and business development.

"We have a strategy that can enable us to deliver innovative MRM solutions worldwide and a robust alliance and business development program will help us with this strategy," said Leo Jolicoeur, @Road chief marketing officer. "Both Tom Colby and Andy Yeoman bring the right mix of background and experience to lead this strategic effort and fully engage potential new business, technology alliances and secure key customers. They are a welcome addition to our team and we look forward to the positive results they will generate for @Road as we expand globally."
