LAS VEGAS, April 14 -- NAVTEQ (NYSE: NVT), a leading global provider of digital map data for location-based solutions and vehicle navigation, today unveiled CommuteVantage, a powerful new television traffic platform designed for seamless traffic report production within one comprehensive real-time data and graphics system.

CommuteVantage smoothly transports viewers from one data source to the next with engaging visual sequences such as an animated 2D flow map to a 3D cityscape fly through, to a live camera view, to a travel time graphic.

CommuteVantage is one of the NAVTEQ Media Solutions demonstrated at booth #C9437 at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Show in Las Vegas, April 14-17, 2008.

"We are helping television stations realize the future of traffic news today with CommuteVantage," said David Klein, Vice President, Media Solutions. "By increasing the system usability and enhancing the visual content of our real-time television traffic platform, we are facilitating the most engaging viewer experience.  Our comprehensive commute management package gives stations a technology-based competitive advantage that extends their reach and grows their audience."

CommuteVantage enables television production teams to:

-- Create seamless transitions between viewer vantage points: from 2D

mapping to 3D cityscape fly-throughs and Skyviews, to integrated camera

       views, etc.

-- Select from comprehensive traffic data options and graphics with a

centralized user interface for immediate broadcast

-- Broadcast realistic cityscapes that engage viewers with real-time

traffic news using true-to-life city features such as buildings and

       landmarks along driving routes

-- Display traffic "gadgets" for quick-reference content such as travel

times on 2D and 3D flow maps

CommuteVantage utilizes components of NAVTEQ's patented NeXgen(TM) system, the current industry standard in robust, traffic visualization.  Also released at the NAB Show are NeXgen enhancements including:

-- Fully integrated live camera views with 2D flow mapping

-- Traffic Around The Clock for dawn, daytime, dusk, and nighttime 3D

       cityscape views

In addition to CommuteVantage and NeXgen systems, NAVTEQ Media Solutions offers a complete suite of TrafficOne(TM) online and mobile station-branded commute management solutions including:

-- Online traffic web portal and personalized traffic alerts

-- Wireless websites and downloadable mobile phone applications
