Orange adds Navi2Go, 3D Virtual World Mobile Navigation, to Travel section.
Faro, Portugal - Orange Partner Camp - April 10, 2008 -- 3DVU the premier global provider of 3D Image Navigation and Location Services announces product launch with wireless operator, Orange UK (17 million mobile customers) to provide Navi2Go, the one of a kind offboard 3D image navigation solution, to a range of Windows Mobile devices for the most intuitive and efficient navigation in the mobile industry. As of today, Navi2Go UK is available for a four month introductory subscription of 15.00GBP on Orange's shop under the Travel section, http://shop.orange.co.uk.
Navi2Go is a patented mobile application, providing 3D imagery for navigation on mobile handsets. Customers can travel over the entire UK at high resolution aerial imagery coupled with high-precision terrain elevation in a 3D bird-eye-view. Navi2Go is making it easier for consumers to navigate with realistic imagery, giving them instant orientation that prevents them from getting lost. Accurate voice guidance and newly introduced 3D route guidance over 3D virtual world representation makes Navi2Go the most intuitive, friendly and easy to use navigation solution.
"We are excited to work with Orange Partner and delighted to have Orange UK offer Navi2Go to its customers. For the first time, a leading European mobile operator is offering Navi2Go" noted Isaac Levanon 3DVU's Chairman and CEO. "With so many basic navigation solutions, today's travelers are looking for something different, more unique and more informative. Navi2Go is answering that need by bringing reality to mobile devices. Orange UK is offering this rich media to its subscribers at the same price as standard maps" added Levanon.
Through the new relationship, 3DVU will expand its existing UK and US distribution. In addition, 3DVU is developing Navi2Go for France, Germany, Benelux and the rest of Western Europe. 3DVU is offering the application for Windows Mobile® devices and will commercially release Navi2Go for Symbian® devices in this quarter and will add BlackBerry® and JAVA devices shortly thereafter.
