LIVERMORE, CA -- Topcon Positioning Systems announces two promotions in its organization.
Mike Strutt is moving from professional services manager to the position of product manager. Jim Hinson has been promoted to the PSGs professional services manager position; he formerly served as machine control support specialist.
Strutt has served as professional services manager for Topcons Professional Services Group (PSG) since joining the company in 2005. Strutt is the former president of Redbeard Technologies of Ontario, a GPS management consulting firm. Strutts new position is with Topcons Product Management team. He will report to Dave Abercrombie, senior product manager.
Abercrombie said, The function of the product management team requires savvy and experienced personnel with strong applications backgrounds and this is why we have promoted Mike Strutt. We will leverage Mikes unique professional abilities and experience to keep Topcon on the leading edge of GNSS product offerings.
In the new position, Hinson will be responsible for the management of the PSG, which involves customer, dealer and sales support as well as training. He will report to Ron Oberlander, integrated systems manager.
Jim has shown commitment and professionalism during his tenure at TPS. We are confident he will continue helping the organization to become more responsive and efficient," Oberlander said.
Both Strutt and Hinson work in Topcons Columbus, Ohio technical and professional support facility.
